Baylor Medical Center at Garland feels that regular checkups should be a part of every man’s routine. All men are invited to attend “It’s a Guy Thing,” a free health event, hosted by Baylor from 8 to 11:30 am on Saturday, June 21, at the Hyatt Place, Firewheel Conference Center, 5101 N. George Bush Tollway. Participants will learn about maintaining and improving their health with free screenings, demonstrations, and presentations that include:
- Cholesterol testings including HDL, LDL, and Triglycerides - for a more accurate reading, do not eat or drink anything after midnight. You may take your regular medications as directed
- Blood pressure checks
- Height and weight updates
- Diabetes education
- Glaucoma screenings
- Sleep disorder information
- Healthy grilling demonstration
