2014 Greater Dallas Walk to End Alzheimer's Event

In celebration of November's "National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month," the Alzheimer's Association will hold the 2014 Greater Dallas Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the AT&T Plaza at American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Avenue in Dallas. Registration begins at 7 a.m., the ceremony is at 8:30, and the walk starts at 9. The route length is 5K (3.1 miles) with a shorter route option available.

The day will include entertainment and fun for the entire family! Event details include:

  • Scenic 5K (3.1 mile) walk route with a shorter route option
  • Strollers and dogs welcome
  • Walk route will be handicap accessible
  • Music and live entertainment
  • Face painting, balloon artist, and more family activities
  • Promise Garden Ceremony
  • Light snacks and water
  • Information on Alzheimer's Association programs and services

There is no fee to register, although walkers are encouraged to make a self-donation and fundraise to earn some fantastic prizes!
